Cutting up all those Good Will fat quarters and making the "Crayon Box" blocks has added greatly to this:
which has resulted in these.
Now that this piece of fabric, strip, scrap bin cycle is going around and around, where does it end? Does it ever end? What came first, the quilt or the scrap or visa versa? No matter, I have found my groove again........at least for a while. Doing what makes me happy!

I love string quilts, and those look great! Made me laugh at your "which came first, the scrap or the quilt?" I'll have to remember that line!
You are so right with scraps...but then you can make string quilts. I made one along this line years ago...was fun too!
Are you sewing the strings to fabric sheets?
I just discovered string quilts and I am just having a blast with them. I cut up an old sheet and sewed my strings to it to blocks that look like yours. Now I am doing a string log cabin quilt and it is great. Don't used a stablizer doing it that way.
Love those blocks!
Your comment about the fabric circle made me think of the kiddie song..."The Wheels on the bus go round and round." Don't know why, but now it will be in my head all day.
I love strip quilts and CQ's. I just can't manage a "precision quilt"! your colors are great in your blocks. I've started one for my daughter recently..hope to get back on it soon.
I like your strip blocks. I have made a few from this pattern, but am not sure I have enough to make a bed size quilt. But I have lots of strips to go yet. Glad you are back in the groove.
Yay, Norma, you go girl! How many quilts do you suppose you can get out of your Good Will bin? It'll be fun to see! Do you still have a ton left?
