Pie (s) in the Sky

It has been awhile since I sent baked goods to work with my great white hunter, in fact I think it was Christmas goodies. So, beings I have never sent in pie, here is what they are getting tomorrow along with vanilla ice cream and whipped topping. The apple and pecan are completely from scratch, the two cherry are made with canned pie filling. I believe in make it from scratch if you can make it better, but if not, then use what is best. Cherries this time of year would be canned or frozen, so I just used the ready made filling. Now I need to go clean up my kitchen........six pies equals a rather large mess!

Wow...6 at one time...you are taking the Betty Crocker or Martha Stewart award for the month. All kidding aside, your husband must be mighty proud of you to do this for him and his fellow workers.

I agree make from them from scratch (including the pie dough) as they normally taste so much better.

Hi Norma, let me 'echo' amelia and say "wow" 6 pies?? I don't think I've ever in 67 years of life made 6 pies all at once. You are amazing! But then, you LIKE to cook and bake...LOL
I was so impressed to read the second part of the post also, and see that you are well on your way to the De Clutter Queen Crown!!!
Good for you! I hope everything sells and sells quickly! Way to go girlfriend!! Big hugs, Finn...who occasionally does wander down memory lane...LOL

Mmmm! Those look awful good. Pie crust is something I'm not good at, so I rarely make pies.

yummy! I love to bake! I am in an extension homemakers group and last fall we had a bazaar, 3 of us lady's baked pies for it the day before, we made about 75, it was kind of tiring but so much fun!

There is just nothing as good as from-scratch pie crust. Years ago, a man came to a bake sale where I was and asked if we had any pies that were really home made. I told him I even picked the blueberries. I do resort to sheet pies when I need large quanties.

I love the pictures. It's like travelling around the globe without the expense or jet lag. I couldn't believe a lack of flowers
in August. I would go stir crazy as I love to play in my flower beds.

Congrats, on the win. I've never won anything online. How exciting.
