Circle of Friends

NOTE
: Yesterday, I received a email saying I had been removed from the Quilt for Fun web ring. No explanation was given. It was followed by a couple more after I answered that there was no problem. Today, I got a email containing the email that I was supposed to get before I got removed and was not sent to me. I was invited to rejoin. Regardless, I was "dumped". The reason is not important, the fact that I did not in some way "measure up". is. Thank you for all the great comments. We have a friendly, supportive circle of friends going and that has been my goal since starting to blog. I am very happy with that circle............you don't have to join, you don't have to post or comment. You don't have to quilt or bake or have grand kids. All parts of the country and Canada are represented and the age group varies. I think we are doing pretty good on our own with out a web ring. Again, I find that I am one lucky lady! I look forward to anyone who comments and becomes part of that circle.

Norma, you do have friends all around. No, we don't belong to the "ring"...but the circle is one of friends that are loved regardless of their interest at the time of writing their blog. This circle is made of up strong willed woman - ones who love easily, cry even easier, and would go to the end of the world for one another.

Girl friend, from this old lady in Oklahoma to you there in Arizona just don't let those "old quilting biddies" get you down...not for one minute.

Love from here to there

Well, Norma. You have company.

I was in a different web ring, but the result was the same. I was told that my content didn't match the requirements of the ring.

I have since withdrawn from all of the rings I was in.

I, too, decided if someone wanted to read and comment, great. But I don't worry about it.

Your company is most enjoyable. I hope you'll include me as part of your ring.

Keep smiling! You are great, and so am I! Tell the great white hunter you are BLUE and need a stone to lift your spirits! There is a "ring" in your future. I see it in my crystal ball.

Hmmm...I am in that webring, although I just follow my blogs through bloglines now. I did not even realize there were rules! I enjoy following your blog and like it when there is stuff other than just quilting stuff - helps us get to know each other better.

Hmmmm....don't measure up?? I think you should say you more than measure up because you show us through your posts that you have a rich, full life involving quilting, embroidery, family and so much more. Keep posting as you do because it is the variety of life that is so interesting!! :-)

Goodness Norma, I don't even know what a web ring is but I think I don't want to be part of a group that randomly throws people out! blessings, marlene

That's so weird -- my guess is it had much less to do with your not "measuring up" and much more to do with some glitch. Web rings aren't what they used to be anyhow, it's so easy to find blogs you want to read without their help. Just do what you love to do, and the rest will follow.

As I say in the post below, you are friend to me and that has nothing to do with "cirle". Yesterday I stitched in a 4 patch with "your" gray fabric as the focus *VBS* Gosh, a year already since the table runners and Flat Santas....where does the time go?? Hugs for the World's most active blanket stitcher!, Finn
