Christmas in AZ

After reading how nasty and cold the weather is back East, I thought I would share how it is to have Christmas where there is no snow. It seems really odd to have the roses blooming and the flower beds doing well in the middle of your Christmas decorations!! Then there is Colin's bike. The kids are able to get out and play here in the winter, we stay indoors during the hot summer. It's not the usual picture on a card but it's how we do it here.

I like the snowflakes on stakes. I almost got some at Bed Bath and Beyond the other day. Alas I have already added to my decorations this yr! I will show my snowflakes tomorrow on my blog...

Makes me think of Christmas in south Texas where I grew up. I bet you can wear short pants at Christmas like we often could too.

Got some of the real white stuff in our forecast starting this morning. I'm sewing today! :-)

And NO shoveling!! Hugs, Finn

And our area is somewhere in between the extremes... we're buried under falling leaves and coping with wacky changes in temperatures (last night it was below 30 - tomorrow it is to be in the mid-70's). We have bright red poinsettias surrounded by brownish oak leaves. But we don't have to shovel them, so I'm not complaining!
