More Cherries!

I decided that rather than put the red and cherry fabric scraps away, I would just cut strips and make some nine patches for another single bed quilt for the trundle bed that is under that daybed. Not sure what I will do with them, kind of depends on how many I can make with what is left. I would like to make some hourglass blocks for in between to make them look like they are on point but we will see. I am open to any and all suggestions. So far I have 19 blocks and fabric for more.

It was 96 degrees here today, things are starting to look a little parched. So, those of you who were tired of my Spring pictures when you were up to your neck in snow and storms, I am about to get my just desserts!

When the heat gets brutal this July, take a trip up to Traverse City, Michigan. It's beautifully cool and they have a big cherry festival. I was there years ago, but I remember going into a store that had lots and lots of cherry fabric. :)

That is a great idea to have a matching quilt for the trundle bed. I don't have any ideas as to what pattern - but what ever you choose will be wonderful.

As for your hot weather - no I don't want it this early in the spring time. It is going to be in the 70's here today with lots of wind. I think I am going to get my plants out of the well house that have been wintering there for the past several months. Will put them on the back patio for a couple of weeks and then hopefully, we are thru with freezing temps.

I think 9 patch is one of my favorite blocks....and I just love that cherry fabric. I think your trundle quilt is a wonderful idea.

96! Oh my. We are suppose to be 68 today. I know our days of 100+ are coming too.

The cherries look so "cheery" (sorry, couldn't stop myself)
the 9-patches are so versatile, the options are endless, aren't they?

96 degrees? we will get up to 65 today, I"ll think of you while I clean out some flower beds.
